By applying information learned in these listed courses, Irene was able to complete research for her fiction adventure series and the nonfiction Christmas star book quickly and efficiently. This type of training allowed her to read a book and place the contents into a database with the book information reduced to 4-5 searchable key words. This training was for creating information retrieval systems before the Internet and electronic search engines were available for use.
