The aerial photo of the towel waving Pittsburg Steeler fans will be taken this Saturday, 4 August 2012 on the famous Y-Bridge in Zanesville, Ohio. The time was moved from 11:00 AM to 10:45 AM. Commercial Pilot Art Moose and I will be flying around up to that time. We will make two passes over the bridge beginning at 10:45. On the information leaflet you get at you pay your fee, you will get instructions as to how to hold/wave your towel.
During one fly over you will wave it. During another fly over you will hold it up. I don't know which is first. At the center of the bridge facing downstream will be several painted banners looking like towels. They were donated by David Mitzel of the Muskingum County Community Foundation. We don't know how many Steeler fans will show up, so head for the center of the bridge where the banners are hung. There will still be traffic on the bridge, so be careful. Hold on to children's hands.
Art Moose and I will be donating our time, airplane, camera, and expenses for the Special Olympics charity event. The digital photos will be processed using Photoshop CS 5. The best photo will be given to the organizers to make a copy for everyone. Posted to the Steeler website, your picture will be seen by people all over the world!
The photograph will also be sent to the Pittsburg Steeler website for their international photo contest. If we win this event, you will be gald you were in the photo. The proceeds of the international photo contest will go to the charity named by the event organizers.
This is going to be a fun filled time. If it's sunny, bring a hat to wear before and after the pictures are taken. Children need sunglasses too.
If you don't have a Steeler's towel, you are more than welcome to come to the event to help cheer for the Steeler's. Support them and the Special Olympics here in Zanesville, Ohio.
Remember to smile! Yell! Scream! Look like you're having the best time of your life.
